RMA(Return Material Authorization) refers to an identification number provided by the supplier for the return of goods. The RMA process is a structured approach to returning goods, resulting in a faster assignment and processing of goods which is much less subject to error.

The items Siewert & Kau offers undergo regular and extensive quality checks. Yet despite comprehensive testing, given the number of items delivered (more than 10 million per year) problems can occur with individual products. In such cases our online RMA is available 24/7 to provide problem-free, structured return shipments and tracking of returns.

Please note the following in conjunction with the Siewert & Kau RMA

• We only allow service processing free of charge for goods ordered from Siewert & Kau. • It is possible to send defective goods without first requesting an RMA number simply by using the online RMA form. • We will send an internal RMA processing number to the service e-mail address registered with us. This e-mail will also contain all pertinent information for further processing your claim.

What else needs to be noted when returning defective goods?

• Please send your goods without packing and accessories (bulk); otherwise, we cannot be held responsible for the completeness of the delivered accessories. • Please note that computer hardware tends to be shock sensitive. In your own interest, carefully pack items you are returning because we will not accept the return of improperly packed items. We will be forced to return them to you at your cost. • For mainboards, do not use the sales packaging as a shipping carton as it is not sufficiently padded. Items cannot be transported safely in this manner. • Place the RMA code on the package so that it is visible and legible. This will help our service team when accepting goods to separate deliveries so they can be processed faster. • Please understand that Siewert & Kau will not accept cash-on-delivery shipments. • Our service technicians submit all returned RMA goods to thorough testing. If the goods do not demonstrate the fault indicated or show some other form of mechanical damage, we reserve the right to levy a lump-sum charge of €16.80. • In the case of goodwill returns, such as due to the incompatibility of components, the maximum credit issued will be the current market value minus a lump-sum shipping and processing charge in the amount of €16.80.
